After the Army:
Upon separation from the Army, I continued undergraduate studies at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois as a Philosophy Major with a Sociology Minor. I was the co-founder and inaugural Vice-President of the SIU Veterans Organization. During this time, I also worked as a police officer in Illinois and with the Westchester County Parkway Police, New York State. I returned to Washington DC to enter the Columbus School of Law and worked for a short time with the U.S. Capitol Police and then as a law clerk to Chief Judge John J. Sirica, United States District Court for the District of Columbia. I am a member of the Maryland Bar and have been by the Federal Government as a lawyer, principally as a trial attorney and alternative dispute resolution specialist since 1974.

Family Information:
I now reside with my wife Karen, in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Current Occupation:
General Counsel, Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board. My interests include historic reenactment (American Revolution), hunting (modern and muzzle loading), 18th century gardening, cross-country skiing, fly fishing and horseback riding.
