After the Army:
After moving to Vermont in 1980, I began a high rise window cleaning business that did very well.  In 1999 I sold the business and semi retired.  Since then I have realized that retirement is not for me.  So I have become what is known as a “late bloomer” and went back to school have attained two degrees and am beginning the registration process on a third this Dec. 2006 (Following in the footsteps of my wife who will soon be beginning the arduous trek of pursuing a PHD).  “Who would have imagined or thought?”

Family Information:
After the Army I married Vivian Hagan whom is now my wife of 28 years.  We have 2 children that we are very proud of; Andy 18 and Jessica 21 (Who is now an Army MP, serving a 5 year hitch, now stationed in Ft. Lewis WA.)

Current Occupation:
Head of Security for the State of Vermont ’s Waterbury Complex

Most Memorable Moment at Tomb:
One of the memorable instants I clearly remember is when the photograph that I have submitted was taken.  It was in the spring of 1976 I had just qualified to receive my badge.  I was facing towards the east at the south end of the mat.  It was one of those glorious mornings before the cemetery opened and all was quiet.  I had asked Jerry Harris to bring my camera up and snap a couple of pictures.  As I heard him take that one I remember vividly what an awesome morning it was and what a privilege and honor it was to be a Sentinel at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier…
